The French turned out in large numbers this Sunday June 30th for this 1st round of legislative elections. Since the opening of the polling stations this morning at 8 a.m., voters were called to elect the 577 deputies who will sit in the new National Assembly, following the second round on July 7. And we can say that there were many of them: the participation was 25.9% at midday nationally, a figure significantly increasing compared to 2022 at the same time (18.43%).

In Ile-de-France too, voters mobilized, with a participation rate of around 20% in the Ile-de-France departments, all up compared to those of 2022, at the same time.

Midday turnout: Paris stands out, Seine-Saint-Denis lags behind

In all departments of Ile-de-France, the participation rate at midday is above that recorded during the 2022 legislative elections.

Thus, the turnout at noon at Paris is of 25,48 % (compared to 12.26% in 2022), 18.47% in Hauts-de-Seine (vs 16.64% in 2022) et 18.29% in Val-de-Marne (12.12% in 2022). With 17,93 % (vs. 9.85% in 2022), the Seine-Saint-Denis is the Ile-de-France department where voters moved the least at midday.

Regarding the big crown, This rate is 19,63 % en Seine-et-Marne (vs 14.03% and 2022), the 20.82% in Yvelinesagainst 15.45% in 2022 and 20,68 % din Essonne (vs 12.77% in 2022). In the Val-d’Oise, 20,32 % of voters turned out at midday, compared to 13.07% in 2022 at this same time.
