But what does series creator, showrunner and author of the original novel, Blake Crouch, have to say about continuing the storyline beyond the nine episodes we’ve seen so far, as well as the novel?
“We obviously know these people very well now. And yes, there is a certain openness [and] If you’ve read my novels, you’ll notice that they always have an open ending. “I want the reader to continue the journey in their own mind,” Crouch said.
“As for Season 2, I think we need to let the show play out, assess where things are and do a gut check. See if there is a desire for it. But right now, I think we’re really happy that everyone finished the first season, which is just the book.
“We left nothing out. We didn’t skimp on season 2 of Dark Matter. This season has everything we loved about the book. »
“There’s almost too much choice. When you’re dealing with a device like the box, or a show that involves time travel, it’s almost like there are too many options.
“The question is what is the best way forward? The surprising thing is that Blake is not someone who only wrote one novel. He is, of course, the author of many exceptional speculative science fiction novels. He has an exceptional, creative and fluid brain. And I know he’s already thinking about it.

“So as soon as there’s a word to say, ‘Let’s do this,’ he’ll be in the science lab, tinkering, figuring out what it is, and I guarantee he’ll invite people like me to be part of that process.”dark matter season
