The Girondins de Bordeaux, who could fear administrative relegation to the National, obtained a stay of execution by the DNCG thanks to the presence of a conciliator from the commercial court. The people of Bordeaux know a loss of 30 million euros which they must fill by next Tuesday if they do not want to fear the worst. The DNCG is reportedly waiting for financial guarantees from Gérard Lopezwhich has been in negotiations for several weeks with a mysterious American investor.

Discussions are not progressing

The investor, whose name has not been disclosed, could provide €70 to €100 million in debt spread over the next six seasons. The problem is that a week before the deadline, Lopez has still not reached an agreement. According to information from WebGirondins, the negotiations are complicated between the two parties: “It is not yet signed. The last details are not yet settled. It is hard negotiating between the personalities and there are 8 days left to come up with good news in front of the DNCG”. Gérard Lopez says he is confident once again despite the difficulty in obtaining such a loan for a club in financial difficulty for several seasons.

Girondins supporters will therefore have to wait a few more days to find out the future of their club.In the event of administrative relegation by the DNCG, the Girondins could disappear permanently from French football.as the financial means are minimal in National. Otherwise, the Bordeaux team can hope for a slightly quieter off-season, although the club has a very limited budget for recruiting.

The club will have to rely on its strong men, like Davitashvili, who had a good Euro with Georgia, to prepare as well as possible for the coming season. After a disappointing season, Bordeaux finished in 12th place in the championship, far from their stated ambitions of moving up to Ligue 1.
