Jazz in Vienne, Marathon Day this Sunday, June 30 from 6:30 a.m. with Fabien Sevilla at… night in Saint-André-le-Bas with Airelle Besson

The concept, introduced by Jazz à Vienne in the post-Covid period, is becoming more and more dense each year.

One day, in this case this Sunday, June 30, the Festival is taking a break with regard to the evening concert at the ancient theater to instead increase the number of events throughout the city. However, it will not be a break for the ears and for some even the legs!

It will all start at 6:30 a.m. with the now famous “sunrise concert” which will take place in front of the church on the Belvédère de Pipet, just above the ancient theater.

This year, the Festival chose the double bassist Fabien Seville.

Re-enchanting the world in a pagan way is the happy challenge that Fabien Sevilla takes up in his new creation entitled Rites.

The double bassist will offer an immersion in a sound space where music unfolds at the confluence of musical traditions and at the crossroads of artistic currents, weaving links between ancestral practices and contemporaneity.

Thus, the metamorphoses of sound, visual and gestural material are part of perpetual cycles, extending from serenity to worried questions, from tension to appeasement, and evoking rites of passage which deeply probe our being and its nature. relationship to the world.

During this particularly busy day, we will find the events that were very successful last year: the musical siesta or the swing lindy hop ball, all ending with Airelle Besson at the Saint-André-le-Bas church. Not forgetting the lying poetry or Ourk for the young audience.

Fifteen activities in total! And everything is not yet complete:
