While we are in the middle of the summer sales period, an important deal is shaking up the e-commerce world. Indeed, according to the Attorney General of Arkansas, “ Temu claims to be an online shopping platform, but it is a dangerous malware ».
A serious accusation made against Temu, a relatively young e-commerce platform and already at the heart of some controversies. The company has already found itself before European justice after consumer associations singled it out for a lack of transparency with users.
In the United States, the accusations relate more to the non-respect of private data. Temu would in fact access, in a concealed manner,to virtually all data on a user’s cell phone».
The firm issued a press release in which it defended itself from all these accusations, denying their veracity and proclaiming its attachment to the laws. However, we can easily imagine that Temu’s image is inevitably tarnished. However, it is also common knowledge that this e-commerce platform has experienced rapid popularity which is reminiscent of the rise to power of Wish, a few years earlier.
