Price formation

State services also indicate the elements which participated in the setting of these new prices:

The average price of crude oil was valued at $81.26/barrel in June, down 1.5% compared to the previous month. This slowdown is mainly explained by the signals of an increase in oil production in the medium term sent by OPEC members, offset by the increase in demand and the reduction in American stocks. Unleaded prices fell by 7.3% while diesel prices remained almost stable (-0.6%), which led to a reduction in the gap between the quotations of the two products. Butane prices recorded a significant average increase of 9.6% in June, linked to the effects of the increase in demand and the reduction in stocks in the United States. The average EUR/USD parity stood at 1.0776 in June, remaining almost stable with a change of -0.2% compared to the previous month.
