While the first box of the Advent calendar has not yet been opened, the Christmas spirit is already taking hold, and with it, an essential step in the preparations: finding the perfect gifts. Rather than getting lost in the crowds of shopping centers, why not opt for a Christmas market? These events offer a unique showcase, mixing unusual products and everyday treasures.
In Pompas, the Christmas market organized by Pompas is nice, is making a comeback on Sunday November 24, 2024. From 9:30 a.m., 35 exhibitors from the peninsula and elsewhere will offer a range of local and artisanal products: honey, apple juice, old-fashioned macaroons, cookies, gingerbread, mixed vodka, and of course the essential Christmas cookies.
Visitors will also be able to find something to embellish their celebrations, with table decorations, candles, incense, handbags, leather objects, sewing creations and tea boxes. At the same time, a raffle will liven up the day, promising great prizes for participants to win.
Santa, face painting, supporting the church
Santa will hand out candy at 11:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. In the meantime, the youngest will be able to have fun during a makeup and balloon sculpture workshop, while the adults will enjoy a mulled wine to the sound of Holy M, a local artist who has become a must.
In addition to the usual stands, the Sauvons l'église de Pompas association will hold a stand selling homemade jams, the profits from which will be used to finance the rehabilitation of the church, currently closed.
“This Christmas market is a way to liven up the town in a friendly way, while highlighting local artisans”explains Béatrice Patier, secretary of the Save the Church of Pompas association and also an active member of Pompas is nice, organizers of the event.
Sunday November 24, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., 1, rue du Mès, in Pompas, in Herbignac.
