The opening of the 3rd edition of the Al Pharma Salon in Annaba was inaugurated yesterday with great fanfare by Wali Abdelkader Djellaoui. Placed under the high sponsorship of the Minister of Industry and Pharmaceutical Production and the Wali of Annaba, this flagship event promises rich exchanges and discoveries until June 29. From the opening, at the Sheraton hotel, there were numerous visitors and the excitement was palpable.

Made up of health professionals, industrialists and students, the participants flocked to discover the stands of the 80 exhibitors, including pharmaceutical laboratories, wholesalers, distributors and even a software developer.

Mr. Djellaoui inaugurated the event, under the theme “The pharmacist at the heart of health innovations”, before touring the stands, lingering in front of each to listen to detailed explanations from the exhibitors. “We have specialized since 2004 in the development, manufacturing and marketing of quality generic pharmaceutical products, Made in Algeria, in dry forms of various therapeutic classes,” presented himself in front of his stand, Badreddine Ouargli, one of the young representatives of the exhibitor “Beker”.

At the same time, Al Pharma, organized by Eleven Events, offers a leading scientific platform with more than 25 conferences and symposia, led by national experts, professors and researchers. “The themes covered include bioequivalence, therapeutic education for diabetics, the interchangeability of biosimilars and probiotics, among other current topics,” indicate the organizers.

Students, future players in the sector, also benefit from special attention with more than eight workshops dedicated to the latest regulations, innovations and technologies in the pharmaceutical sector in Algeria. These workshops, led by renowned professors, offer a unique opportunity to train and prepare for the future challenges of the industry. Al Pharma aims to be more than just a trade fair, it aspires to be a bridge between African countries. Scheduled during this important event, the B2B meetings aim to “promote the export of Algerian pharmaceutical products and explore expansion opportunities mainly on the African market”, estimates Nadir Filali, organizer of the event.

“This four-day exhibition, which will continue until June 29, is a striking demonstration of the commitment and dynamics of the Algerian pharmaceutical sector. Through its diversity and richness, it reflects the vitality of the pharmaceutical sector in Algeria,” underlines Hana Menasria, media officer.

The presence among the delegation of Dr Damech, the health director of the wilaya of Annaba at the inauguration, underlines the importance given to this strategic sector, essential for public health and the economic development of the country.
