Four dead in Nicaragua, hundreds evacuated to Mexico after heavy rains
Four people died Friday in Managua, capital of Nicaragua, and hundreds of people were evacuated to Mexico, authorities said Friday, due to heavy rains in several Central American countries. The victims, three children aged 8, 9, 12 and their father, were killed when a wall of their house in Managua collapsed, caused by rainfall, according to a statement from the Nicaraguan government. “Appropriate measures “were taken to ensure the safety of residents in the area,” he said.
