“The result means a lot to me”
Blick reached Vetsch by phone yesterday while she was filming in the mountains. Her spontaneous reaction to the positive result: “My heart did a ‘bump’. It was not without danger, as I was standing on a rock face in the Bernese Oberland. So much support from the audience, what a joy.”
In May of this year, she was awarded the Audience Prix Walo. Her approachable, uncomplicated and modest manner was also recognized there. She wants to leave the explanation of the current result to “those who were asked.” She says of the significance of her performance: “This result means a lot to me. I see it above all as appreciation for the programs that I make with the DOK and Reportagen team. We show people and aspects of life in Switzerland that receive little media attention. I am very pleased that this has been so well received.”
Regarding the often-used term “audience favorite,” she laughs and says: “Being close to people is important to me. I think you should save ‘favorite’ for your partner or pet.” It is important to her to never lose perspective. Her goal for the future: “Keep your feet on the ground and carry on with joy. And hope that such reports will also be possible in the future.”
