Pokémon GO Community Day in July 2024 features Anchovies, an electric-type Pokémon that promises to boost the experience of Trainers. On Sunday, July 21, 2024, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. local time, Anchwatt will appear more frequently in the wild, even offering the chance to encounter its chromatic form for the lucky ones.
An exclusive star attack
To make this event even more special, players who evolve Lamperoia, the evolution of Anchwatt, during the event or up to five hours after, will get a Ohmassacre mastering the immediate attack Flash Change. This attack has a power of 12 in Trainer battles and 14 in arenas and raids, thus increasing the Pokémon’s strategic abilities in various game modes.
Special study scenario
For even greater immersion, a Special Research scenario will be available for 1 USD or the equivalent in your local currency. This scenario offers a narrative experience and exclusive challenges, enriching the Community Day experience. Tickets will be accessible via the in-game store, and for the first time, it will be possible to purchase and gift tickets to friends, provided they have reached the “Great Friends” friendship level.
Multiplication of bonuses
July Community Day wouldn’t be complete without its bonuses. For this edition, the egg hatching distance will be divided by four. Additionally, players will receive double the amount of candy for each Pokémon caught and, for those level 31 and above, a double chance of receiving XL candy. Lure modules and Incense will have a triple duration, extending their effects well beyond the usual three hours of the event.
Exchanges and raid battles
After the three hours of the main event, level four Raid Battles with Lamperoia as the protagonist will be available until 10 p.m. Winning these raids will allow Anchwatt to spawn more frequently around the Arena for 30 minutes, with a chance of encountering a color version identical to the one offered during the main event.
Spot and field studies
A Timed Research will offer four Unova Stones, and the Field Research will offer tempting rewards such as more frequent encounters with Anchwatt, Stardust and more. These activities encourage players to explore and interact extensively with the game environment.

Special offers in the store
For this event, two Community Day bundles will be offered in the in-game store. The first, for 1,350 PokéCoins, includes items like Hyper Balls and Super Incubators. The second batch, for 480 PokéCoins, also offers Hyper Balls and Incense, among others. A special Hyper Box containing 10 Hyper Balls and an Elite Charged Attack CT will also be available for $4.99 USD.
