Kitigan Zibi celebrated Remembrance Day yesterday at the community cultural center.
The master of ceremonies, Stephen Mcgregor, was dressed as a Second World War paratrooper to recount the Normandy landings of June 6, 1944.
Their very basic equipment included a chocolate bar. The latter often ended up being offered to local children. For this reason, chocolate bars were distributed to the children during the ceremony.

A bell dress made on site will be exhibited in a European museum to illustrate the link between Kitigan Zibi and the old continent.

The Maniwaki Royal Canadian Legion was present at the ceremony.
A Memorial Day commemoration was also held in Kazabazua last week.
