A man suspected of being the author of this double murder has just been indicted and imprisoned, the public prosecutor of Besançon declared this Tuesday morning.
A man already convicted of robberies
This man in his thirties has already been convicted several times for armed robbery, for the moment he disputes the facts with which he is accused. He was indicted for “two assassinations and an attempted assassination committed on August 25.” A cold execution with a machine gun of two men aged 30 and 24 by a hooded individual who was riding a scooter.
One shooter, two dead, but three targets
The first, an illegal Tunisian, was hit by three bullets while his back was turned to the shooter. His body was found on a sidewalk. The second, the shooter’s main target according to investigators, was hit while he was from behind by five projectiles, including three at the level of the skull, one having “potentially” been fired at close range. His body was located about thirty meters from that of the first victim, in the middle of a wooded square. A third individual, the second victim’s little brother, was also targeted while he was in his vehicle, but was not hit.
For investigators from the organized and specialized crime department of Besançon (formerly PJ), all the elements indicated a settling of scores against a backdrop of drug trafficking.
