Mike Evans, one of the main leaders of the American evangelical movement and advisor to Donald Trump, gave his first interview since the election to i24NEWS. During this interview, he made revelations concerning the strategy desired by the former American president vis-à-vis Israel and Iran.
According to Evans, Israel would have a “window of opportunity” until January 20 to take decisive action. He suggests in particular that Trump would like to see Israel strike Iranian oil installations, an action which he says should be carried out “before January 12”. This strategy would aim to significantly weaken the Iranian economy.
Asked about the direct source of this information, Evans clarified that it was his own interpretation, based on his extensive knowledge of Trump after four years of working together. He added that “wonderful gifts” await Israel in return, including the prospect of a peace deal with the entire Sunni world during the first year of a new Trump term.
Regarding the relationship between Trump and Netanyahu, Evans highlighted the mutual respect between the two men, while noting a difference in style: “Trump says what he thinks, Netanyahu thinks before he speaks.” He clarified, however, that a direct discussion on these strategic topics between Trump and Netanyahu was unlikely at present, as Trump does not have access to classified information as a former president.
