The record-breaking third season of “The Bridgerton Chronicles” on Netflix raises hopes of a lesbian (or bisexual) romance in the next season. Spoiler alert.
It’s LGBTQ+ Pride Month. While the start of this season 3 suggested a possible romance between Eloise Bridgerton and Cressida Cowper, the second part of this new chapter, broadcast since June 13, has a new twist in store for fans. Finally, it is Francesca Bridgerton, the third daughter of the siblings and the most introverted in the family, who seems to announce a queer romance for season 4.

At the end of the season, Francesca marries Lord John Stirling, the Earl of Kilmartin. At the Featherington ball, Francesca meets Michaela Stirling, her husband’s cousin. Their interaction is electrifying, marked by intense exchanges of glances and palpable tension. Michaela, mysterious and scheming, says, “Every sordid detail John has told you about me is a lie. The truth is much worse. » After the wedding, the newlyweds will fly to a castle in Scotland, accompanied by two guests: Eloise and Michaela… Season 4 promises to be full of twists and turns.
An idyll inspired by the literary saga of Julia Quinn
In Julia Quinn’s Bridgertons novels, John Stirling has a cousin, Michael Stirling, whom Francesca meets in Scotland, and their meeting quickly evolves into an intimate relationship. In the series, could Michaela Stirling be a reinvented version of Michael Stirling? This choice would make it possible to represent a queer love story on screen.
At the same time, Benedict Bridgerton experiences his first experience with a man during this third season. This night raises questions in him which will probably be explored in season 4…
