World Refugee Day: in Vire Normandy we will open the umbrellas

Thursday June 20, 2024, will take place World Refugee Day. On this occasion, the Vire Normandy association of Aid to Refugees (Avar) wishes to organize a highlight for the inhabitants of the Vire basin, the beneficiaries of the association and the Cada and also the refugees living in the territory and the volunteer members of the association.

For this purpose, Avar offers a meeting at the Clock Holder at 5:45 p.m. for a walking start in the city center with the batucada. Participants are asked to carry out this walk equipped with a colored umbrella (protection symbol). But it will be possible to parade, even without an umbrella.

At 7 p.m./8 p.m., a picnic will be shared in front of the theater or inside depending on the weather. Then, the cinema will show the film The song of the livingfollowed by a discussion led by the Avar.
