Having the particularity of living in Mali, with a step in France since my first stay in France, on July 14, 1982, until today and especially of having served at the Mali embassy in France, as advisor to January 1992 to January 1995, it was particularly unbearable for me to read, on social networks, the allegations against the outgoing consul of Mali in France, whom I only know by name, I hasten to add, before to address the reasons for my indignation.
I take issue, in fact, with certain allegations of this courageous outing, under anonymity, in particular from “The Patriot” which I read on RS WhatsApp.
Having served at the Mali embassy in France where I still have my entries, I have never seen a Malian consulate operate with such speed over the last twenty years as under the leadership of Mr Kodio. That I know neither of Eve nor of Adam. I say it again, especially since at my respectable age of over 70 years, a believing and practicing Muslim, I am afraid of nothing other than the prohibitions of Allah Swt. However, in Paris, some of our compatriots, a minority, fortunately, have subscribed to slander and malice towards honest civil servants sent by the authorities of our country on mission.
I was the victim of these types of shameless lies in Paris, for less than what Mr Kodio can be blamed for. Because at the time I had no responsibility other than to inform and communicate.
I waited thirty years to deliver my part of the truth in “cram-crams” Lakalita edition, BF 2021.
Mr. Kodio will perhaps not be so lucky and will prefer to give time to prove him right.
In the meantime, I can testify that the computer system set up at the consulate is reliable: One click you have your appointment, one text message you have an invitation to come and collect your items for the appointment. No more chaos at the front door of the consulate. What more could we seek than the improvement of such a system? Even if it would benefit from being improved, by a Malian or a foreigner, who cares! This is what the new consulate authorities must tackle.
It is, in fact, very common these days to push out the door of valiant executives of this country and to undermine the ground behind them, to make way for the incompetent and the thuriferous. This is what I recommend to the new consul , if I may: put oneself at a distance from flammable remarks and unreason and judge for oneself, by adopting what is good, rejecting what is not good and improving what is less good .
Yes ! at the departure of Kodio who reached the limits of his mission, with honors.
No ! To the unworthy and slanderous practices on an executive who has succeeded in innovations that are rewarding for every patriotic Malian.
