We interviewed farmers from L’Atelier Paysan, a French cooperative for self-construction of agricultural equipment, authors of the collective essay “Take back the land from the machines. Manifesto for peasant and food autonomy.“
L’Atelier Paysan is a technological, political and economic project that develops machines and tools, exchanges knowledge, distributes construction plans under free license and carries out workshops and training for the empowerment of the French agroecological peasantry, training hundreds of people every year.
After many years of struggle, they came to the conclusion that the only way to continue is to eliminate the agro-industrial complex, also proposing the creation of food social security. A project in favor of militant and artisanal agriculture.
