The route of the Olympic flame will pass through 19 communes of Hauts-de-Seine divided into 7 sections. She will travel through Issy-les-Moulineaux in the middle of the day, taking the banks of the Seine and Ile Saint Germain. A sporting event is planned all day in the Ile Saint-Germain park by the Departmental Council. On this occasion, traffic and parking restrictions will have a strong impact on the Bords de Seine and Sainte Lucie districts.

From 11:05 a.m., this Wednesday July 24, the flame will pass through the towns of Sèvres, Meudon, Boulogne-Billancourt and Issy-Les-Moulineaux.

In Sèvres, the flame will pass in front of the National Ceramics Museum and near the Jardin des Métiers d’Arts et du Design (JAD). Activities for young people will be planned with fan zones. In Meudon, activities are planned by the city throughout the flame’s route, along the banks of the Seine. The torch bearer will then cross Boulogne-Billancourt with a welcome from the city’s associations, leisure centers, clubs and homes as the flame passes through Place du Pont de Billancourt, Place Marcel Sembat and Boulevard de la République. .

In Issy-les-Moulineaux

The Department organizes sports activities throughout the day from 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. within the Ile Saint Germain park, in the form of sports workshops dedicated to young people and demonstrations. These activities will be suspended while the flame passes through the park around 12:30 p.m.

The Tower of Figures, a monumental work by Jean Dubuffet, restored by the Department, reopened its doors on March 30, 2024. Emblematic of contemporary art, it marks the entry into the Hauts-de-Seine Valley of Culture. Visits and exhibitions open to the public.

Impact on traffic

Due to the demonstration, traffic will be prohibited on several roads in the City from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Foot or bicycle traffic is not impacted. The crossing of the route will nevertheless be completely closed by the police 30 minutes before the passage of the flame, and the time of the convoy passage which accompanies it.

Parking will also be prohibited on the flame route lanes from Tuesday July 23 at 8:00 a.m. to Wednesday July 24 at 2:00 p.m. Additional parking restrictions may be implemented on adjacent or adjacent streets along the route to accommodate emergency vehicle parking.
