Organized for the first time in Mauzac, the day dedicated to biodiversity was unanimously appreciated by the participants.

A day initiated by the Mauzac association “la Permauzacaise”, with the participation of the Mauzac town hall, the community of communes of Volvestre, and a well-known mutualist group. From 9 a.m., in the association room, a biodiversity fresco workshop was held led by ecologist Pauline Millot.

During this collaborative workshop followed by around ten people, awareness of ecosystems, the fragility of territories, climate change, and the impact of man on the environment were discussed. “A deck of cards linked to the themes allowed the public to understand and identify the interactions that can occur in the different ecosystems. Interactions which, by interweaving together, destroy and disrupt ecosystems on a small and large scale. national and global level of interactions accentuated by the harmful activities of man impacting among other things our health, the production of medicines was extended with, at the beginning of the afternoon, the installation of six educational panels. covering the ecosystems of the territory from Muretain to the Pyrenean foothills Panels installed on the path along the Garonne, a Natura 2000 classified area. Panels designed with priority on recycled materials and the idea of ​​“me, what is”. -what I can do on my scale!”

Panels designed with the support of the Mauzac town hall, the community of communes of Volvestre and the mutualist group which also financed the show of the “Arboredanses” association closing the day. A show of poetry, dances, songs with scientific interventions explained simply” testifies Celia Vila, president of Permauzacaise, an association offering the Mauzacais a shared garden and actions to make the territory known to its inhabitants.
