Marie-Caroline Le Pen comes to Sablé-sur-Sarthe

Marine Le Pen’s older sister is a National Rally candidate in the fourth constituency. She formalized her candidacy this Friday, June 14 at the Sarthe prefecture. With her deputy Noa Lerosier, she then went to Sablé-sur-Sarthe to launch her campaign. Marie-Caroline Le Pen is the eldest of Jean-Marie Le Pen’s three daughters. She is notably facing the outgoing MP elected in 2022, Elise Leboucher (LFI), candidate of the new Popular Front.

New applications

Among the new candidates, let us mention on the side of the new Popular Front the mayor of Coulaines Christophe Rouillon who is campaigning for the fourth time in a legislative election. At Renaissance, we learned this Friday of the inauguration of Sylvie Casenave-Péré, director of the Posson Packaging group in Louailles. Romain Lemoigne, former head of the Young Republicans (LR) of La Manche and RN delegate for the third constituency, is running in the third constituency.

No more head at Reconquête!

Sébastien Buard, departmental delegate Reconquest! announced this Friday that he was resigning from Eric Zemmour’s party. In agreement with Eric Ciotti’s decision to join the National Rally, he specifies that he will support ” all [m] “forces the candidates of the national union”.

The PS and the new Popular Front: I love you neither

Stéphane Le Foll, mayor of Le Mans (PS) indicates in a press release that in this period of extreme difficulty and great risk for our democracy he measures what represents, for many voters […] the aspiration for union . He judges that the creation of the Popular Front is necessary to block to the party led by Jordan Bardella. However, like the Sarthe PS federation, it regrets the distribution of constituencies in Sarthe with three LFI candidates out of five. This does not reflect the result of the European elections where R. Glucksmann’s list came first on the left , he emphasizes. Same story with Thierry Cozic, the socialist senator from Sarthe who “ supports Christophe Rouillon, nominated by the Socialist Party and candidate in the 5th constituency, as well as Marietta Karamanli, outgoing MP in the 2nd constituency .
He then talks about the second round: in the event of a duel involving a far-right candidate, he will call for a vote for the candidate who will be opposed to the National Rally and its allies . As for Sylvie Tolmont, former deputy of the fourth (2012-2022), she evokes a distribution “very unbalanced”. She “notes in this context that my candidacy, supported by the Federation and the activists of the Socialist Party of Sarthe, was therefore rejected in favor of an investiture for the rebellious candidate”.
