His ploy fizzled. Just three days. A 26-year-old man was recently sentenced to one year in prison for participating in the resale of cannabis in and around Saint-Germain-en-Laye (Yvelines). He was imprisoned after the hearing at the end of October at the Versailles judicial court, we learned at the end of the week.
The individual, a resident of Aubergenville, between Mantes-la-Jolie and Les Mureaux, saw his activity come to a complete halt during a road check, one Friday afternoon in October, while he was in delivery in “its” sales sector. The police officers from the local security group at the Sartrouville police station were alerted by the strong smell of cannabis in the vehicle.
The “delivery man” does not make a fuss and, at the request of the officials, reveals the contents of the two hiding places located near the gear lever. He gives them 17 bags of cannabis resin, eight bags of weed, four pots – or a little more than four grams – of cocaine, as well as 170 euros in cash. He is taken to the police station to be interviewed.
To the police, the man indicated that he had been making deliveries in the wealthy area of Saint-Germain… for only three days. The objective being to repay debts which he describes as significant. He was released after 40 hours in police custody and will not be released until next year.
At the beginning of November, three women were arrested in Yvelines and Essonne for cannabis deliveries. Among them, the one who prepared the orders and packaged the bags also indicated that she had embarked on this activity for financial reasons.
