: an Olympic swimming pool closes for two months to renovate its filtration system

The Dôme, the large intercommunal Olympic swimming pool in Saint-Germain-en-Laye (), will close for two months for work, from December 1 to January 31, 2025 inclusive. The Nordic pool, located outside, remains open at special times.

Bad news for swimmers in Saint-Germain-en-Laye (Yvelines) the Dôme will partially close for two months. The two indoor pools of 50 m and 20 m of the intercommunal Olympic swimming pool will close from December 1 until January 31, 2025 inclusive, indicates 78 Actu.

The purpose of this closure is to carry out some work, in particular on the swimming pool filtration system. The Dome has already benefited from a complete two-year rehabilitation, between 2018 and 2020. This new work must go further than that already undertaken.

“Latest generation equipment” will thus be installed in order to “improve water quality while achieving significant energy savings”, indicates the Dôme. The swimming pool will take advantage of this closure to carry out its regulatory emptying.

The Fitness and Well-Being areas will remain accessible, except during the annual closure from December 23 to January 7, 2025 inclusive. The 25 m outdoor pool, called the “Nordic pool”, will also be open at special times. Finally, the validity of annual subscriptions and 10 entry/activity cards will be extended proportionally to the duration of the work for regulars.
