Théo Curin learned the news last night and this Thursday, June 13 in the afternoon, he was already putting on his presenter’s cap to film the first numbers which will be broadcast at the start of the school year.
“An inaccessible dream” for Théo Curin
In the columns of Le Parisien, Théo Curin said to himself “ super happy and super proud. » Before continuing: “ like many young people, we have completely crazy dreams. The idea of being a TV host had been on my mind for a while » he reveals “ but seemed inaccessible to me. »
The program director of France Télévisions, Stéphane Sitbon-Gomez, is delighted with this new arrival, “ convinced that Théo Curin is a future great TV host“, to whom he wishes the same career as his predecessor, Cyril Féraud, revealed by this show, at the age of 22.
“ The choice was quickly made because he was excellent, managing the mechanics of the show very well (…) and he was very good in the mood with the candidates. Théo Curin was generous, warm and curious with the participants » adds the television man.
A first in France
This is the first time in France that a disabled person will be at the helm of a television show on a major channel. As a reminder, Théo Curin has had all four limbs amputated since the age of 6 after having meningitis.. A source of pride for the new TV host.
“ What makes me proud is the message that we will send every day on France 3: having a host like me with the physical peculiarity that I have, it is exceptional. This was unthinkable just a few years ago.. This proves that things are changing. » he commented.
