At the end of a two-year course within the association during which employees gain skills, the first orientation can lead to “ about returning to studies or secretarial jobs » explains Isabelle Joly, one of the supervisors. “ Many young people leave school without really knowing what to do. We are here to get them back on track » she adds. The second path leads more towards logistics and personal assistance.

New premises for better working conditions

Since January 2024, the association has left its premises on two sites at La Fontaine-Couverte to settle in Impasse Coluche, in part of the former Point.P premises. There is also La Ruche resourcerie, the AIPF, which takes care of the maintenance of gardens and green spaces and the recently opened solidarity garage. “ We enjoy being close to other associations and our new premises are spacious and bright. The entire April Fools team is grouped together, it’s much better for our working conditions », rejoices Isabelle.

This Monday is the day of the writing workshop led by Marie Krieger for the employees who produce the newspaper. Asked what being part of April Fool’s Day brings them, the answers are abundant. “ This allows you to break isolation, work in a team, get back into a working rhythm, and regain self-confidence. » say some. “ It is moral support, help with job search, orientation, motivation » say the others.

Open days Saturday June 15, 2024, from 10 a.m., at 5, impasse Coluche.
