Bogdan Marcu: “I expect him to take the maximum sentence. But I’m also waiting for him to tell us exactly what he could have done to our daughter, how he did it and why. For us, it is important to know the truth even if I am aware that it will make my wife suffer. »
In your eyes, his contradictory statements prove that he never told the truth?
Bogdan Marcu: “We will never know the whole truth… Besides, he is going to appear in court and he is going to make his star, as he was able to do in prison. How should we react to him? He makes fun of us, which adds to our suffering. But he also makes fun of all the parents. Because before he is 35, he will come out of prison… We don’t want other families to experience what we experienced. »
Do you think he can do it again?
Bogdan Marcu: “For me it’s even safe. He will do it again… I’ll give you an example. I grew up with dogs. And when I gave them raw meat, these dogs bit everyone. What I mean is that this teenager has already tasted these things, so he will do it again because he is proud of what he did… If it was an accident, we would be understanding. But there, he kidnapped a child who had asked for nothing. She was a 5-year-old girl who was just beginning to discover the world. Why didn’t he attack me or my wife? Because he only looks for vulnerable people. This way, he is sure he can do whatever he wants with them! Not even a month after his return to Rambervillers (after having spent a year in a closed educational center following accusations of rape and kidnapping of two boys which also earned him a two-year prison sentence last March ), he resumed his habits. There are testimonies. A week before attacking Rose, he was looking for prey. He behaved like a predator”
Bianca Ristea: “He had fun doing what he did to my daughter. What’s also worrying is that he hasn’t managed to scare himself. I don’t think even the sight of my daughter’s corpse could scare her. He actually still had the nerve to put it in a trash bag to get rid of it. He takes pleasure. And as he has tasted this pleasure, he will do it again…”
What do you hope for Justice during this trial and even after?
Bianca Ristea: “I expect justice to no longer take cases like this lightly. That would be good… May justice not wait until there is still a corpse like my daughter’s to react. He had spent a year in a center. If there had been better supervision when he was released, he would not have committed this murder. If patients like him are monitored, we don’t get these cases. »
As a mother, what do you fear the most?
Bianca Ristea: “I’m afraid he will look us in the face and play with our pain, like he has done until now. Let him brag about what he did and tell us more stories about how he took my daughter from me in front of my house…”
