Although real estate prices have been on the rise since the beginning of the year, it seems that June marks a halt, according to our Bien’Ici barometer.

Are real estate prices starting to fall again? While the trend has clearly been upward since the beginning of the year, the trend seems to be reversed this month, according to our Bien’Ici barometer – BFM Business (based on ad prices before negotiations).

Thus, on July 1, out of the thirty cities studied, only 6 saw their prices increase from one month to the next. These are Saint-Etienne (4%), Toulon (2.3%), Calais (1.7%), Nîmes (0.8%), Grenoble (0.6%) and Villeurbanne (0.1 %). In Marseille, prices remained stable.

Over a year, falling in Reims and flying to Calais

In other cities, prices fell between June 1 and July 1. And in some, this decline is particularly marked, such as in Mulhouse (-7.4% over one month), Colmar (-4.3%), Le Havre (-3.4%), Strasbourg and Gap (-2.9%) and Toulouse (-2.6%).

Over one year, prices in these thirty cities are mainly on a downward trend. The decline is very marked in Reims (-18.5%), Villeurbanne (-13.7%), Montpellier (-11.8%) and Boulogne-sur-Mer (-11.4%). Six cities saw their prices increase over one year. These are Calais (17.6%), Caen (8.6%), Gap (8.5%), Toulon (4.7%), Rouen (2.9%) and Nice (0.3 %).
