A motorist swerved on a forest road in the state of Oregon (United States), Sunday June 2, 2024. His vehicle ended up down an embankment. One of his four dogs who were with him managed to escape through a window to cover the six kilometers that separated him from the camp where his master’s family was located, reports The Parisian . The victim’s relatives then began looking for him.
As the sheriff’s office explains in a statement on Facebook, the motorist “was able to crawl approximately 100 m from the vehicle, where he spent the night. The group continued to search for him and his family members found his vehicle on the morning of June 3.”. It was his brother who finally notified the authorities.

Helicoptered to hospital
The sheriff’s office and rescue teams responded to the scene. The sheriff provided first aid after Pine Valley Rural Fire volunteers and U.S. Forest Service employees cleared the path using a chainsaw. The man was placed on a stretcher connected to a rope system and pulled from the ravine, then airlifted to a regional hospital.
The nature and severity of his injuries have not been communicated. “The other three dogs were found alive at the scene of the accident”specify the local authorities.
