Team BDS wins against Team Vitality in the first day of the LEC Summer Split

It’s the turn of Team Vitality and Team BDS to enter the Riot Games Arena in Berlin to kick off their Summer Split. At the end of a slightly intense encounter, it was Adam and his companions who managed to gain the upper hand, making a great comeback by capitalizing on the errors of the French team.

We are gaining strength

As the first day of the 2024 LEC Summer Split continues, a major clash looms between two heavyweights of the European scene: Team Vitality and Team BDS. These teams, favorites for the title after their impressive performances during the Winter Split, compete with specific objectives and high ambitions. This match promises to be a real shocker, pitting two serious title contenders against each other, and could well set the tone for the rest of the season.

Team BDS, having closed the Spring Split in third position and narrowly missed qualifying for MSI, enters this new season without any changes to its lineup, a sign of its confidence in the synergy and strategy that led them to victory . Building on their strong performance in the previous split, the Swiss team is determined to prove that they are more than capable of claiming the European throne. On the other hand, Team Vitality, having finished the Spring Split in a respectable fourth place, enters the arena having made a change within its team during the break. The club’s management chose to change the jungler, giving the starting position to Lyncas, a former Karmine Corp Blue player, and sending Daglas to his academy team in the LFL.

So many errors on Vitality’s side

From the start of the game, Vitality imposes a better early game, exerting effective pressure on the entire map, forcing BDS to play cautiously and stay under the turrets. After ten minutes of play, Vitality had accumulated a lead of over 1k gold, although BDS managed to secure the first dragon. The game remains relatively calm, with BDS adopting a cautious strategy and avoiding confrontations in this early game. Meanwhile, Vitality sets up his game plan, improving his vision taking. A teamfight broke out in the fifteenth minute for control of the Herald, and unsurprisingly, Vitality emerged victorious, obtaining a few kills and the objective. Before the twentieth minute, Vitality picked up the pace and made a significant breakthrough in the midlane, despite an unexpected death from Hylissang, who was too aggressive.

Although dominant from the first minutes, Vitality made a few stupid mistakes in the mid game, allowing BDS to get back into the game slightly and slow down the opposing snowball. Vitality then made an excellent call by quickly taking the first Nashor, taking advantage of BDS’ slow reaction. With the Baron buff, Vitality launches its assault on the Swiss base. While BDS puts up a nice defense, Vitality continues to make numerous positional errors. These blunders are quickly punished by BDS, who takes the opportunity to complete his comeback and move into an offensive position. BDS continued its momentum, capitalizing on Vitality’s repeated errors, and ended up winning a game that seemed compromised. Mistakes in the mid game, particularly on the part of Hylissang, cost Vitality dearly, giving BDS a deserved victory.
