Lucas Paqueta risks a dramatic sanction for the rest of his career. The English Football Association could ban the Brazilian player for life if he is found guilty in the rigged sports betting affair.
Luke Package is accused of having intentionally sought to be punished with yellow cards, in particular by committing unhelpful or even suspicious faults. Four Premier League matches over the last two seasons are being targeted by investigators. The English Federation has already been investigating the player since last summer, which probably cost him his transfer to Manchester City.
