There Olympic flame will be passing through Morbihan on Thursday June 6, 2024. During this day, the flame will be visible in particular at Saint-Anne-d’Auray. Here’s what you need to know to witness its passage.

962 meters

For its first segment of the day, the clay convoy is expected in Saint-Anne-d’Auray for a route of 962 m in the streets of the city. A route which will take the torchbearers of sanctuary at municipal stadium. Karine Coeff, Benjamin Etienne, Louis Guillas and Thierry Le Goff will be the 4 Flame Bearers.

A passage in front of the basilica

The first torchbearer will set off from the Great War Memorial at 10:05 a.m.. The flame will then pass in front of the basilica, go around the Scala Santa before taking the rue du Général de Gaulle. The journey through the streets of Sainte-Anne-d’Auray will end at the municipal stadium at 10:25 a.m.

Disruptions to be expected

As in all the towns it passes through, the public will be able to watch the passing of the flame by standing on the sidewalks. However, it will not be possible to access the Memorial and the municipal stadium, access to these places being prohibited to the public.

Traffic is coming complicatedor even impossible, in the town center of Sainte-Anne-d’Auray from 7:30 a.m. The streets of Général de Gaulle, of Vannes, of August 5, 1944, of Ker Anna, of la Fontaine as well as the Beauséjour housing estate will be prohibited to cars until midday.

Animations

The morning will be marked by several entertainment. The Landaul bagad, the Locoal-Mendon brass band and the Crac’h Celtic circle will be present to provide a musical atmosphere.
