They are as alike as two drops of water. This Tuesday, June 4 was an important date for Laeticia Hallyday’s family since it marked the birthday of her mother, Françoise Thibaut. An event that the former wife of Johnny Hallyday celebrated by sharing a publication filled with tenderness on Instagram. “Happy birthday mom, my sweet mom. One more turn of the sun and you continue to be our guiding light“, she wrote, moved, before continuing: “So grateful for you, your sweetness, your delicacy, your tenderness, your joy of living, your bursts of laughter, your epicurean gluttony, your kindness and a thousand other qualities which make you so unique and so precious and which fill us with happiness every day. I love you more than anything.”
A beautiful message of love that Laeticia Hallyday accompanied with a video of her spending a moment of complicity with her mother. In the clip, the two women exchange a kiss on the cheek. But if the publication moved many Internet users, it also surprised more than one. The reason ? The two women, who sport the same blonde haircut and natural makeup, look very similar. “Crazy resemblance… identical copies, twins”, wrote a user of the famous social network, while another indicated: “The resemblance is obvious. Happy birthday to your beautiful mother.”

Laeticia Hallyday: who is her mother, Françoise Thibaut, with whom she was estranged for many years?
If Laeticia Hallyday is a well-known personality to the general public, this is not the case for her mother, who is much more discreet. But who is she? In the 1970s, Françoise Thibaut had a love affair with André Boudou, with whom she had two children: Laeticia born in March 1975 and Grégory, the following year. Unfortunately, relations between the mother and her daughter will become strained during her divorce. So much so that Laeticia, then aged 14, followed her father to the United States, to Florida. It was only several years later, in 1995, that Laeticia and Françoise were able to reconnect, when the latter gave birth to Margaux Thibaut, the fruit of a new union.
