Elite 2 – Luc Delor: “Getting the desire to play rugby back” – Rugby League

Luc Delor, new player at RC Salon XIII, looks back on his stop last season and talks about his ambitions for next season.

Luc, can you introduce yourself?

My name is Luc, I’m 25 years old, I’ve been in Avignon for 5 seasons and I decided to take a little break. Now, I’m starting again with Salon.

Why did you leave SOA a year ago and why sign with Salon?

I left SOA because I didn’t really enjoy playing anymore and I didn’t want to force myself. I preferred to take a break before I didn’t want to play anymore. I went to Salon because I didn’t want to play in Elite 1 again. Salon offered me to join the club with an interesting project. I also have friends there like Romain Serre with whom I did my years at Pôle. Playing with him again will bring back good memories and so, I’m trying the experience with them.

Have you been following Salon’s results and what did you think of their season?

Yes, I followed the results. It was quite complicated for them. They had trouble finishing in each match but what I see above all is a united group, friends who never gave up despite the defeats and that’s also why I signed for Salon.

What do you think of the level of Elite 1 and 2?

I think that the Elite 1 is still much faster in terms of play but in terms of physics and impacts not so different from the Elite 2.

What are your goals for this season?

My personal objectives first of all are to regain the desire to play rugby and have fun on the pitch, play as many matches as possible and contribute as much as possible to the team. My goals for the team are still to reach the final stages, to be in the top 6 and why not to be champion.
