A car was set on fire during the night from Saturday to Sunday in Auch, in the station parking lot. The fire spread to four other vehicles. An investigation was entrusted to the police station.
Saturday June 1, around 11:40 p.m., police and firefighters were alerted to a vehicle fire in the parking lot closest to the entrance to Auch station.

A fire destroyed a first car there then the fire spread to four other vehicles parked nearby. Firefighters quickly put out the flames. The next day, the city’s services intervened to clean up after the police department’s usage records.
Open investigation
An investigation, entrusted to the police station, was opened for “destruction by dangerous means” by the Auch public prosecutor’s office. The “deliberate ignition” of the first vehicle leaves little room for doubt. “But no element – testimony or video – currently allows us to guide the investigation,” the prosecution said on Tuesday, June 4.
During the Pentecost weekend, damage was reported at this same location. The “minute stop” car park does not have a video surveillance system and no installation is available for the scheduled time. But the police station plans to make a recommendation in this direction to the SNCF services.
