Proof that FIFA does not watch Equatorial Guinea’s matches…

Excluded from the selection last February after bad behavior, Emilio Nsue’s return to Equatorial Guinea should not be for now. According to a report from a FIFA disciplinary committee, the striker played illegally for the central African country for more than a decade and now finds himself suspended for a period of six months. Revelations that raise questions, while the 34-year-old wears the jersey of the NOTzalang Nacional since March 2013. A longevity which has notably allowed him to play 42 international matches (friendly, World Cup qualifications) and to take part in three editions of the CAN, the last of which in January 2024.

But according to FIFA’s revelations, Emilio Nsue should never have worn the Equatoguinean jersey, since he already had Spanish nationality. Born in Mallorca, the striker played around twenty matches with the youth teams of the Roja before obtaining Equatorial Guinean nationality in 2013. The international body would then have refused the player’s request for transfer of selection, because he had only obtained Equatorial Guinean nationality after having already played for the Spain as a youngster. A situation which now prevents the player from representing Equatorial Guinea. Fortunately for Nsue, he is now retired from the selection.

Nsue can safely return to her Insta lives.
