Nina Dobrev is on the road to recovery after being hospitalized following a bicycle accident.
The 35-year-old actress, known for playing Elena Gilbert and Katherine Pierce on “The Vampire Diaries,” revealed on May 20 that she had been in a bicycle accident and, after a stay in the hospital, she now rests with a giant splint on her leg.
She captioned a series of Instagram photos of herself recovering: “Life’s a little different lately. I’ve swapped the ‘selfie’ for the ‘leggie’ and I’m getting ready to see what’s in the leg because that’s all I have in my camera these days.”
Alongside a photo of herself in a hospital bed last month, she wrote on Instagram: “I’m fine but it’s going to be a long road to recovery.”
In another post, Nina joked: “How did it start… how is it going,” posting an image of herself on her bike before the accident, then a photo of the accident.
The actress has been dating Olympic athlete Shaun White for four years but it doesn’t appear he was present at the scene of the accident. Earlier this year, sources claimed that the star and her partner were both “in love” and were even considering getting married in the near future.
