LIVE – 80 years since the Landings: follow with us the burning of the coast and the festivities

The festivities around the 80th anniversary of the Landing begin this Saturday, June 1, with the unmissable burning of the coast in 21 municipalities Calvados and Manche. The entire Normandy coast will be ablaze at nightfall. From 11:30 p.m., to highlight the major sites of D-Day and the Battle of Normandy and to pay tribute to the veterans who fought for freedom.

  • 21 fireworks, 19 in Calvados, 2 in Manche
  • The burning of the coasts takes place from 11:30 p.m.
  • The coast will be set ablaze along nearly 100 km of coastline, from Merville-Franceville in Calvados to Saint-Martin-de-Varreville in Manche.
