A well-crafted deception
The Indonesian authorities, alerted by AK, arrested ESH. According to the police, ESH presented all the attributes of a woman: perfect feminine appearance and a sweet, feminine voice. “In wedding photos, Adinda looks exactly like a real woman” says an officer.
Once the investigation was carried out, it appeared that ESH intended to marry AK in order to steal his family’s property. The well-crafted scam could have succeeded if AK had not followed his intuitions. According to local media, ESH liked to pretend to be a woman when dating men and had even had relationships with women before. ESH now faces fraud charges that could land him up to four years in prison. AK, for his part, is having difficulty recovering from this deception, but hopes that justice will take its course. “I feel betrayed and humiliated“, he confided to the local press.
