The 24th edition of the Festival “Marseille Jazz of the Five Continents» is settling in the Phocaean city from June 30 to July 13. Hughes Kieffer, the festival director, looks back on the eclecticism of this new edition, which jazz music allows: «This jazz, which has crossed all cultures, all countries, all generations, all styles of music to give a particular form, very modern, very current, I would say, with the specificity of Marseille, that is to say a journey through the most beautiful sites of the city. We are also going to open a jazz club in the courtyard of the Palais Carli, this courtyard will be a jazz club from 10 p.m. to 10 a.m.» Among the director and programmer’s favorite evenings, there is that of July 10 with Meshell Ndegeocello, singer, rapper and musician, a true figure of current New York jazz, and Cat Power, a figure of folk music who is taking up the Bob Dylan’s repertoire.

In the Var, the Nuits du Réal await you in Les Arcs-sur-Argens from July 5 to 8. Head to the Théâtre de Verdure in the city center with Louane, Mentissa, Incolore, Michel Jonasz and Klingande.
