Amine! Amine! We will win ! We will win !“8 p.m. had passed by a few minutes, the polling stations had barely closed their doors when in the Burel premises (14th) occupied by the activists of Amine Kessaci, candidate (NFP-EELV), the time was for positivity .

Four hours later, and despite the arrival in the lead of the outgoing RN deputy Gisèle Lelouis (42.75%), the youngest candidate from Marseille – he is only 20 years old – said to himself “super proud to see that the northern districts are resisting. With more than 16,000 votes, we doubled our 2022 score. I am proud of our young people and super happy with this dynamic while the extremes are on the verge of power.

Two years ago, LFI Mohamed Bensaada (Nupes) finished first in the first round before failing in the second against the unknown RN Gisèle Lelouis. At the time, the outgoing MP (LREM) Alexandra Louis, had not called for the “republican front” against the far-right party, and the RN candidate was notably able to draw votes from the 4,000 voters of Sandrine d’Angio (Reconquest).

This time, the massive mobilization of voters (61.4% participation compared to 37.14% in 2022) benefited both the RN and the union of the left, largely sidelining the Horizons candidate Céline Aycard-Dieste (11.61%) and the LR Pierre-Olivier Koubi-Flotte (5.71%).
