Leslie and Kevin are this young couple murdered in November 2022 in Deux-Sèvres. The main sponsor Tom Drouillet assured a psychiatrist that there was no “death plan”. Le Parisien reveals extracts.

Their mysterious disappearance had kept France in suspense. Leslie Horrelbeke and her boyfriend Kevin Trompat no longer gave any sign of life after an evening on the night of November 25 to 26, 2022 in Prahecq, near Niort. The bodies were found three months later, buried in Charente-Maritime.

The main sponsor of the murders is Tom Drouillet. He had acted with three accomplices to ambush Leslie and Kevin, helped by a fourth individual to disappear the evidence. Tom Drouillet assures that there was “no death plan”, he told a psychiatrist, according to The Parisian. “Even if the other suspects say the opposite and designate him as the leader or co-leader of this commando”, according to our colleagues.

Tom Drouillet was Leslie’s former boyfriend. He assures that he was not “driven by romantic jealousy towards Kevin” whom he hosted for more than six months. He prefers to speak of “revenge in reaction to the vexations and humiliations he would have suffered in the context of a one-sided relationship”, continues The Parisian. “He took advantage of me, of my house, of my kindness. I was the taxi, I did the cleaning, I paid for the groceries… He told me he would pay the bills. He never paid me a symbolic euro.

Tom Drouillet describes himself as “someone very calm”. Why did he trap Leslie and Kevin until he killed them? “It’s because of all that drug shit that I got to this point.”

According to the conclusions of the expertise carried out by the psychiatrist, the main suspect took action “under the effect of an explosive cocktail: his inability to bear his romantic breakup, his desire for revenge against both victims and the prospect of finding themselves freed from debt by direct elimination of Kevin”. The psychiatrist underlines Tom Drouillet’s “devouring egocentrism” and assures him: “Tom Drouillet’s discernment at the time of the events” was “neither abolished nor altered”. An essential opinion to pave the way for a trial of the 23-year-old boy before the Assize Court for murder. The young boy – a kitchen installer by trade – had no criminal record until then.
