Celebrate Pride Month in Mississauga – City of Mississauga

A time to celebrate our 2SLGBTQI+ community as we all work toward a more open, accepting and courageous world.

June is Pride Month – a time to celebrate our 2SLGBTQI+ community as we all work toward a more open, accepting and courageous world.

The City of Mississauga is offering a variety of Pride activities all month long. Residents are encouraged to join in celebrating Pride’s history and fostering an open, inclusive and equitable environment in Mississauga. Programming includes:

  • Attending the Progress Pride flag raising event
  • Checking out the library’s 2SLGBTQI+ reading list
  • Waiting for a book club
  • Visiting the Pride park benches at Port Credit Memorial Park and Scholars’ Green
  • Viewing the painted Pride crosswalk at Clarkson Village Shopping Center
  • Participating in free drop-in Swim and Shine classes on June 9 at Churchill Meadows Community Center
  • Catching Mississauga Fire and Emergency Service’s Pride Fire Truck touring the city
  • Viewing the Civic Center Clock Tower lighting

This year marks the City’s 50th anniversary, just another reason to celebrate the diversity in our city all month long!
