The Dijon public prosecutor’s office (Côte-d’Or) announced this Friday, May 31 that two adults were placed under witness status assisted by the charge of assassination, after the fatal accident which occurred on Sunday, May 26 on rue des Valendons. A minor young man was also indicted for intentional violence.

The path to settling scores seems to be becoming clearer. This Friday, May 31 at the start of the morning, the Dijon public prosecutor’s office (Côte-d’Or) announced the placement under assisted witness status of the charge of assassination of two people, adults, suspected of being involved in the fatal accident which occurred a few days earlier on rue des Valendons.

One of the two men is also indicted.for a related offense and as such placed under judicial supervision“, adds the public prosecutor Olivier Caracotch. A third man, a minor, was indicted for “intentional violence and obstacles to the manifestation of the truth“. He was also placed under judicial supervision.

As a reminder, the events occurred last Sunday May 26 at 6 a.m., in the southwest of the Dijon metropolitan area. At this time, a car collided with a scooter, causing the death of the passenger of the two-wheeler. He was known to the police. Its driver, aged 19, was injured.

The car involved in the accident was later found.partially charred” in the town of Gevrey-Chambertin (Côte-d’Or), after having fled. The investigations carried out blatantly by the interdepartmental direction of the national police of Dijon lead to doubt the accidental hypothesis in favor of an act deliberately targeting the victim“, indicates Olivier Caracotch in a press release.

On Wednesday May 29, three people – two adults and a minor – were taken into police custody. Presented Thursday at the Dijon judicial court, they denied any involvement in the affair. A judicial investigation for the charge of assassination was requested against the two adults.
