An accident occurred on 6th Avenue in Saint-Georges this Thursday evening around 8:15 p.m. and resulted in two arrests.

According to information provided by Marythé Bolduc, from the communications department of the Sûreté du Québec, it was a woman aged in her twenties who left the road after overtaking on the right. She ended up in the courtyard of a private residence where she struck a vehicle parked there.

The police then arrested the woman for dangerous driving, for refusing to provide a breath sample using an approved detection device as well as for assaulting a peace officer. She was released, but she could face charges in connection with this event. His vehicle was seized for 30 days and his driver’s license was suspended for 90 days.

During the intervention, another individual arrived on site by vehicle. He was also driving while impaired so he was arrested by the police. He blew more than twice the allowable limit. As a result, he was arrested for impaired driving and obstructing the work of a peace officer.
