Courage, cohesion and teamwork were the keys to the success of this event. As parents, we are proud that our student athletes were able to participate in these sports days abroad because sport gives them motivation to move forward and discover the outside world. Then, to have a broader vision of sport beyond their establishment. Finally, represent their school and carry the country’s flag», declares Jo Tsirenge. Joan Théophile Depothuis, son of Jo Tsirenge, was one of the centerpieces of the team during this competition. At only 13 years old, measuring 1.75 meters, with an athletic physique, he also practices swimming, football and basketball. At the moment, he is dedicated to high school practices on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. “ The main thing that made me encourage my child to participate was that he was among the best overall in the school during the selection process. We hope that the school will organize another selection next year to allow students to compete against others, gain confidence and discover new horizons. », continues Jo Tsirenge.
