Day of well-treatment and women at Porte de Camargue hospitals

Thursday, May 23, the Portes de Camargue hospital establishments (Tarascon and Beaucaire nursing homes) organized a Day for the well-treatment of people in hospitalization establishments for dependent elderly people. The tool used was a goose game based on ethics and professional conduct which earned each player (residents, students, staff) points and gifts (hygiene products) for residents.

This initiative allowed students from the Red Cross option at Alzon high school, from the Accompaniment, care and personal services classes, to test their knowledge on subjects related to their profession, and to give gifts to the residents of the ‘Oustaù (Beaucaire nursing home). In conjunction with this day, the students of the Red Cross option organized a women’s day with the collaboration of the Dons solidaires association which offered boxes of beauty products that the students gave to each resident. A gesture which brightened this day a little more and established a fundamental intergenerational link for these young students who are destined for careers in support and care.

A rich moment in the schooling of these students and for the residents and their families present at this action as well as others already past to which they remain attached (greeting cards, snacks, etc.). The volunteers of the Beaucair branch of the French Red Cross are particularly satisfied with Florian Mornon, director of the Portes de Camargue hospitals, for allowing them to take part in the day of well-treatment, as well as Vanessa Ferrer, psychologist , Stéphanie Cortijo, Oustaù executive, Raoudha Zaddam, Oustaù welfare referent, all the students, teachers and director of the Alzon de Beaucaire high school for their participation, Solidarity donations for the donation of the Beauty boxes and the Terre d’Argence Red Cross option.
