Philippe and Mathilde were therefore welcomed by Emmanuel and Brigitte Macron for their visit to our neighbors. The latter took part in the question and answer game with RTL info.
King Philippe and Queen Mathilde are currently in Paris. The presidential couple, Emmanuel and Brigitte Macron receive them to talk about exchanges and links between Belgium and France.
And while the wife of the French President crossed the courtyard of the Belgian ambassador, she agreed to answer a few questions. She spoke of her memories of our flat country. “When my children were little, their happiness was to go to Nieuwpoort, to cross the border,” told the one who grew up in Amiens, in Hauts-de-France (Picardy). “It was exotic.”
She then agreed to indicate what she preferred about Belgians. “Their character”she replied. “I have a passion for your temperament, therefore the sense of humor. You return the balls too, very fairly. You know how to do it very well and we deserve it”she continues.
Brigitte Macron also spoke about the relationship between the two countries. “I really like what there is between us, what the Belgians and the French share, that’s why we know how to argue very well, like a family”she laughed. “There is one thing that is very important, and that is that we actually love each other.”
Before leaving our camera, Emmanuel Macron’s wife wanted to greet “all Belgians”.
