An issue centered on the union of two women who instigated the assassinations of their ex-companions. Véronique Pierret and Émilie Viseur, a special duo, whose links were unraveled during their trial.

Dominique Laplace and José Barreyre, two victims who did not know each other

It all started on the night of March 14 to 15, 2013, when a certain Dominique Laplace was murdered at his home in Caumont in Aisne. It was his partner, who the next day found him lying in a pool of blood. His murderer inflicted several blows on his head and took his life with a stab to the heart. If no clue is found on site, a first lead emerges, that of his ex-partner, Véronique Pierret. The victim’s girlfriend mentions repeated threats, but when the gendarmes hear it, they are perplexed, the suspect affirming that her relationship with Dominique Laplace belonged to the past. Unsuspecting, friendly and then on crutches, she struggles to present herself as a murderer in the minds of the investigators… Everything will change during another murder, that of a certain José Barreyre, a few kilometers away. Shot in the head in front of his home in Laon on the night of March 15 to 16, he died from his wound less than ten days later. Time for him to deliver a few letters to the police “EML”for Émilie Viseur, his ex-partner.

The diabolical pact of Véronique Pierret and Émilie Viseur

But what is the link between Véronique Pierret and Émilie Viseur? A friendship linked in a pact which came to light during the latter’s custody. She reveals that Mallory Kubel, her boyfriend, is the person behind the deaths of Dominique Laplace and José Barreyre. An alleged murderer who is also the nephew of Véronique Pierret. Armed arm of these two friends motivated by revenge, Mallory Kubel committed suicide in prison almost a year after his arrest. In 2016, the Aisne Assize Court tried Véronique Pierret and Émilie Viseur for double complicity in murder. The first received 20 years in prison, the second 10 years.
