Aydat, Saint-Georges-sur-Allier, Saint-Priest-Bramefant and Thiers appear in the latest Official Journal: the four municipalities of Puy-de-Dôme are recognized as being in a state of natural disaster.

The interministerial decree of September 23, 2024, published in the Official Journal of September 28, 2024, recognizes four municipalities in the department as a state of natural disaster for the phenomenon of flooding by runoff and mudslides for the following recognition periods:

  • Aydat for flooding by runoff and mudslides that occurred on June 28, 2024.
  • Saint-Georges-sur-Allier for flooding by runoff and mudslides that occurred on July 21, 2024.
  • Saint-Priest-Bramefant for flooding by runoff and mudslides that occurred on July 19, 2024.
  • Thiers for flooding by runoff and mudslides that occurred on July 21, 2024.

Floods, fires, storms…: the damage of climate change spares no region

The citizens concerned, if they have not already done so upon the occurrence of the disaster, have thirty days from the date of publication of the interministerial decree, to declare their damage to their insurance company and benefit from the compensation scheme provided for by law.
