On October 10, during her visit to Southport, Kate Middleton appeared without her famous wedding ring in sapphire and 12-carat oval white gold and 14 solitaire diamonds. That day, the mother – who had just finished her chemotherapy sessions – had a completely different ring on her finger: an eternity ring, as spotted by the Daily Mail.

A symbol of unconditional love and fidelity, the eternity ring is usually given on the occasion of a couple’s first wedding anniversary. However, this ring can be offered well before the wedding. Kate Middleton was already wearing this piece of jewelry when she announced, through a video, the end of her chemotherapy. If Kate Middleton has been discreet since the end of her chemotherapy, she nevertheless returned to service on October 10. For the occasion, Prince William’s wife was in Southport, near Liverpool, to meet rescue workers. For good reason, on July 29, a 17-year-old teenager attacked several participants in a Taylor Swift-themed dance class with a knife. Ten people were seriously injured that day. Touched by this sad event, the mother of George, Charlotte and Louis therefore made the trip to speak with the rescuers who intervened that day as well as to provide support to the families of the victims.
